Ah, the power of prayer! I had more blood work today and my white cell and platelet counts have come up dramatically. My red cell count and hemoglobin are holding steady. The nurse told me that the injection I got the day after my last treatment was finally working for my white cells, but it has never taken this long for it too work, so I know the real reason for the sudden increase- prayer, of course!
When we got to the doctor's office today, they had tables set up in the waiting room with canvas' waiting to be painted. They encouraged mom and me to sit down and paint while we were waiting. They are planning on putting the finished paintings on the ceilings in rooms where we get chemotherapy, so that patients will have something colorful and beautiful to look at as we recline in our chairs. Thanks to the Kiwanis club for supplying the canvas' and paint!

Congrats on the counts!!! AWESOME news!!!
The canvas idea is so neat and will be beautiful hanging on the ceilings for all to see. Good thing I wasn't there to paint one or the only thing people would have to look at from me were drawings of stick figures:P, lol.
Luv ya~Sharon
Lisa ~ It's been a long road but because of you and who you are it has not been nearly as tough as I thought it would be. I know you say OK Mom speak for yourself because I know that you are the one who has been getting the poisons pumped into your body but I have been feeling it right along with you. If I could only take the pain away I'd do it in a flash but since I can't ~ I'll just keep laughing with you every chance I get. I can't wait to see everyone at the oncology office doing the Hampster dance with you on Monday as you finish your last chemo treatment :~)
You light up my life and I'm proud to be your Mom :~)
Hey Sis! I'm so excited that this is your last treatment coming up!!!!!!! You are amazing!!! You've touched so many lives, you just have no idea! You and Mom both are absolute inspirations! Thank you for letting me take this journey with you. You better believe... I'll be right there with ya doing the Hamster Dance!!! LOL
Have I told you lately?... it's good to be your sister!
